1. Why do we need to have our wedding professionally videotaped?

You want such an important day as your wedding day to be captured forever. You want ALL of it captured – each sight, each sound, each emotion as it occurs. The fact is that, even though it is your wedding, even though you have planned it all, you will be the one person who misses most of it. You will not get to see your friends arriving, or your family seated, or your attendants’ processional, or your parents’ reaction to your vows. You will not get to see much of what happens at the reception, because you can’t be everywhere at once. A wedding video gives you ALL of those moments to enjoy. And don’t leave this important job to just anyone. Hire a professional! Just because someone owns a kitchen doesn’t mean they can bake a wedding cake, or just because someone has a flower garden doesn’t mean they can create wedding floral arrangements. The same is true of video.

2. How long have you been a professional videographer?

I have been working as a professional videographer for thirteen years.

3. Where do you work, and how far will you travel?

I work in the Atlanta/Athens area. I will travel, however, anywhere in the Southeast. For travel over 50 miles outside of Atlanta/Athens, there is a fee of $35/hour. Contracts paid in full at time of signing will have the travel fee waived (if less than 200 miles).

4. How do you communicate with me as far as my wishes and needs are concerned?

First of all, I make myself available via phone or email and encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns. All phone calls and emails are answered within 24 hours. We will also discuss in person exactly what you are looking for in your wedding video. In addition, I will have you complete a questionnaire which covers details of your wedding day and your preferences for your video. If you wish additional options or services added to your contract, just let me know, and you will promptly receive an updated contract addition so you will at all times know your correct, updated balance.

5. What equipment do you use?

I use digital, 3-CCD camcorders for each wedding. This type of camcorder is widely used among professional wedding videographers, as it produces excellent quality video. The groom will wear a small, wireless lavalier microphone as a part of a UHF system to pick up the vows with the clearest sound quality. Three other sound devices are used as back-up sound sources. Lights will not be used at all during the ceremony and will only be used at the reception when necessary. If lights are used at all, they are small with limited brightness, usually only 10 watts.

6. Will my wedding video DVD play in any DVD player?

Current DVD production technology utilized by EverWord Media produces DVD-R discs. While compatible with 95% of all DVD players (especially more recent ones), it is not compatible with all of them. If there is a doubt whether a DVD-R will play in your player, I will gladly furnish a test disc for you before I produce your final video. EverWord Media highly recommends you perform this test, as even compatibility lists are often not 100% correct.

7. How and when will my finished video be delivered?

Your finished video will be delivered within 12 - 16 weeks of the wedding, depending on seasonal demand. Each DVD comes with a professionally printed label and is delivered in a case with a personally designed cover. Videos are delivered either by me in person (locally), or mailed to you, or I will hold them for you to pick up.

8. What is your privacy policy?

EverWord Media reserves the right to use any portions of a client’s video and/or photos for promotional, marketing and advertising purposes only. We will not, however, share your personal information, including email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, and payment information, with any other party without your expressed permission.
